Outlook 2002 Synchronizing Error 0x800CCCF7My brother had to reinstall Vista. After he set up Outlook 2002 for his
Windows Live Hotmail account, he could send mail okay; however, he is unable to receive mail, and gets this error message: "Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x800CCCF7) : 'The server responded 'This operation is not permitted for this type of client." I thought that was an error for using the wrong version of Outlook Connector, which isn't available for Outlook 2002??? What is the easiest way to fix this issue? Thanks, Jim The only supported method to connect to your Hotmail account in Outlook 2002
is via POP3. Hotmal, and that didn't work. I suspect he needed a file via Office Updates. In any case, we deleted Outlook 2002, downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail Desktop, and set that up. So far it's working flawlessly.
