Why msg files are differ after export from Outlook 2003 to filesysSteps:
1 Choose one message in your inbox 2 Save it as msg file to one sample folder 3 Save it again in second sample folder 4 Compare thouse files by content or by checksum (SHA-1 for example) These two msg files are differ. Why it so? Are there any workarounds for it. What can I do if I need get two same msg files? In addition: I checked message files exported from Outlook Express - they are same by content and checksum. Thanks. when you move an item Extended MAPI gives it a new message id - that is
probably causing the discrepancy. -- Show quoteHide quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
