hello
I just bought Outlook 2007 and to my dismay, there is no newsgroup. Is it
really or am I missing something?

regards

No version of Outlook has ever included the ability to read news groups
directly.  It calls either Outlook Express or Windows Mail.

Hi
Thanks for all the reply. This really gets me! reason I asked is I could
swear I had it on Outlook 97 back when I was using Windows 2000 or XP. I
remember vaguely having it and Outlook Express and it asked me which one I
want to use for my newsgroup. Of course I chose Outlook and was reading my
newsgroup in it . I don't know. I am kind of getting up there in age though.
so that might be the problem.

You could use an add-in that adds the NNTP protocol to Outlook:

Outlook has never had NNTP support. You need to use an addin if you really
want newsgroups in outlook.
