Missing "Junk E-mail" folderI recently added a new email provider and thus added new accounts in
Outlook 2007. All my "old" accounts have a Junk E-mail folder with a lock sign on it, and junk and spam goes into that folder. These folders are missing on all the "new" accounts I set up. How do on set up the special folders and how do you direct junk email into them. It works great on the "old" accounts, but I forgot how they were set up. Thanks, Peter is it a lock symbol or the No symbol (red circle with a slash)? If it's a
lock, then something else created it - like a 3rd party spam filter. What type of email account did you add? Did it create its own PST file? -- Show quoteHide quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. That's the folder set tagged as "Default" in Tools>Account Settings>Data Files. IMAP and Hormail accounts always get their own folder sets. You ca, if you wish, create additional folder sets for your multiple POP accounts, but the only default folders those sets will have is the Inbox and Deleted Items. All other Outlook operations will use the folders in the delivery location set. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
