Rule only working some of the time on Exchange mailboxHI people, I have a rule set to copy all outgoing emails to my inbox
(so it's quicker for me to grab original and reply for filing). However the rule only works intermittently. This rule is applied to a mailbox that runs off a hosted exchange server and the problem only arose when we switched to Exchange instead of our old pop3 system. The Exchange newsgroup couldn't help and suggested I post the question here. Jo it's applying to all mail (no other conditions) and still doesn't work? Are
you scanning mail with an antivirus scanner? Are there any similarities with the messages that don't get copied? Do you have OWA access to the mailbox? If so, log in and see if they are online. What is OWA?I have got two rules set up, one the original way, and the other the way you suggested. So there are two rules operating. Some emails I send give me two copies in my inbox, and other messages give me none, so I know that both rules are affected by the problem, what ever it is. I've tried to find a pattern but just can't. However, I now have a more urgent problem in that I am away on business for a week and cannot connect to the Outlook Exchange server with my T-stick. I'm not sure what you would call a T-stick in your country, but it's a device I plug into my USB port on my laptop that connects wirelessly to the broadband network (and costs a fortune to use). There should be no difference between connecting to the internet wirelessly and connecting via my T-stick but for some reason I get this error: Task 'Microsoft Exchange' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.' The Exchange hosts are flumoxed, as are the people who sold the device to me. The combination of Exchange and T-Stick has never worked and I've been trying to get it sorted since December. I have posted this on the nz.comp newsgroup (and will probably also do so on the Exchange newsgroup) but thought I would see if you had any comment since you are a font of expertise on every other question I've ever asked you. browser. I assume the t-stick is a cellular modem. Outlook should connect useless the service blocks ports - but outlook configured for outlook anywhere uses HTTPS and services don't block that port. That leaves the other common cause - outlook is configured to use a specific connection. Tools, account settings, select exchange acct and click change - then More settings. Just to check though I also tried connecting through my "phone line" which is the TStick Telecom 3G. This didn't work either, and nor did connecting via http.
