How to transfer all my email account settings to ol 2007 from ol 2003 ?Hi all
I have a pst file and a settings file from 2003 that i need to inport into 2007. I have about 40 seperate email accounts and while i can get the pst file into 2007 ok, i cant seem to find anyway of getting all my email account settings moved over. The machine that had office 2003 on had the hard drive fatally crash but i had the pst file backed up and the account settings saved using the utility in 2003. My new machine still has xp but now has office 2007. How can i use the settings file as the utility that uses it in 2003 seems to be missing in 2007, what did they replace it with. Thanks for any help, i no longer have all the setttings for some of the email accounts apart from in the settings file.

Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about, your OS, Service Pack level and the FULL contents of any error message(s) Office 2007 no longer supports the wizard, which in any case in office 2003

Just open the PST with File>Open>Outlook Data File. > I have about 40 seperate email accounts and while i Unfortunately there is no good way to transfer accounts between Outlook > can get the pst file into 2007 ok, i cant seem to find anyway of > getting all my email account settings moved over. instances. It's conceivable that you can export the mail profile from the registry and import it on the new PC, but that won't include any account passwords. You'd still have to visit each account and reset the password. There are third-party tools you can buy that will do the job. Here's one for US$30: http://www.backsettings.com/outlook-backup.html I have no experience with it so the due diligence is up to you. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
