Saving Outlook Messages to Individual Text Files

Does anyone know how to export individual messages in Outlook to text files.
Maybe a macro, which I don't know how to make, that will include date, from,
subject, body of message.  The export options in Outlook do not work for
this.  Neither does saving the messages as a text file.  I want them saved
individually.

Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction.  I've checked on
Slipstick but haven't found anything there that does what I want.

Open a message, click FIle>Save As, specify "text" as the "Save as type".

I did this but I want to be able to save a group of messages as individual
text files rather than one at a time.

Now you've changed the specifications.  Originally you said "individual
messages", not "groups of messages".

you need to use a macro.  There might be some sample code at outlookcode.com

Hi Pat,

To automate the solution you could try using our Attachment Save
(misnamed, I know, but it saves emails as files now).  You can find out more
information at http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Outlook/Attachment-Save.asp.

You could also try looking on
http://www.SlipStick.com/AddIns/Housekeeping.asp - there are many tools
there to help automate Outlook.

  HTH!

Mike:

I looked at your program and it may or not work for my purpose but I didn't
see a demo and hesitate to buy a program when I'm not sure it's what I want.

Thanks anyway.  Nothing found on SlipStick.
