Importing from Outlook Express

Hi,
I imported my mail from OE to Outlook.
I noticed that the mails that I send and which I had placed in the "Inbox"
folder had today's date instead of the date I sent the mail.
I placed the mail in the "Inbox" folder since it was a reply to the email
just above it.
How do I import these sent items so that they will have the right date?
Thank you.

Yes, but in the "Inbox" were messages that I send, and these messages have
the todays date.

The Inbox shouldn't contain messages you sent, it should contain messages you
received.  The Sent Items folder will contain messages you sent.  As DL says,
importing from Outlook Express using Outlook will change the dates as you see.
You must open Outlook Express and export from there to Outlook.
File>Export>Messages.

Thanks, dates are correctly merged.
I had sent messages in the "Inbox" to easier keep track of correpondence.
