Hi Guys

Hope you can help

I have a user we support in Hong Kong he has been using outlook 2003 and saving his mail to a PST file. This file last night exceeded the 2GB, when he send/recieved he saw email come in then disapear. He has now deleted some emails to take his PST down but it doesnt explain where the em ail he saw come in has gone? I have checked his POP3 account and unfortunatley it doesnt save a copy to there! any ideas would be great thanks!!!!! -- nabster

It's likely gone if he doesn't keep copies on the server.  Apparently he is
using an ANSI format PST from Outlook 2002 or earlier.  That format has the
2GB limit.  Unicode PSTs that Outlook 2003 and 2007 create can be 20GB and
larger.  Have your user convert to the newer format.

Outlook 2003 using the native format unicode pst does not have the size
limit, unless 'admin' has set the registry limit.
Perhaps you need to determin whether they are using a pst created by an
earlier version of outlook
