All Day appointments CHANGING to hourly ??I have lately experiencing a very annoying trate with Outlook 2003 ( when
syncing between 2 PC and a PDA)where it randomly changes certain "All Day" events to a 1:00 am to 1:00am appointment over 2 days... Or if it's a multi day event, it cheanges it to hourly but add an exra day too !!!! What could be causing this ?? the PDA or one of the computers does not have the same time zone and DST
settings as the other computer/pda. -- Show quoteHide quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. All my computers (laptop, desktop, PDA) are on the same timezone, and all set to auto update from daylight saving too ! Basically it looks like it's only doing it to a few of my "all day" apointments...first week of April (maybe MS' idea of an April fools joke ?) It just turn them into a hourly appointment, and moves them back one hour...so they are all hanging over by one hour into the previous day now... crazy ! cheers, Hi-Soft Show quoteHide quote "BC" <nospam@spam.com> wrote in message news:%3ewl.29435$cu.11706@news-server.bigpond.net.au... > yeah... No, that was the previous DST standard in the USA and some other countries. It sounds like you have not applied all DST patches or are using a device/software for which the new DST definitions have not been made available. -- Show quoteHide quoteRobert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "BC" <bjcanham-nospam-@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:49c2d65d$0$5630$5a62ac22@per-qv1-newsreader-01.iinet.net.au... > > Well now I'm stumped ! > > All my computers (laptop, desktop, PDA) are on the same timezone, and all > set to auto update from daylight saving too ! > > Basically it looks like it's only doing it to a few of my "all day" > apointments...first week of April (maybe MS' idea of an April fools joke > ?) > > It just turn them into a hourly appointment, and moves them back one > hour...so they are all hanging over by one hour into the previous day > now... crazy ! > > > cheers, > Hi-Soft > "BC" <nospam@spam.com> wrote in message > news:%3ewl.29435$cu.11706@news-server.bigpond.net.au... >> yeah... week of april, one of the machines does not have the new DST definitions installed. If the PDA is Windows-based, I'd check that first. It's my understanding that the update doesn't always "take".
