Search boxes from Outlooks Find Bar leave a shadow on the desktopmicrosoft.public.outlook and microsoft.public.outlook.general Followup to: microsoft.public.outlook This is a HUGE NG, so sorry if my question has been posted here before - I searched back til the beginning of February without any luck. The problem. When the Find Bar is active in Outlook (Office Xp - 2002) and I quit the application, shadows of two of the Find Bar search boxes appear on the desktop - in upper left corner. Two screen shots: http://users.cybercity.dk/~dsl487543/FindBar.jpg http://users.cybercity.dk/~dsl487543/FindBarShadow.jpg The OS is XP Pro with SP3. The graphics card is a PNY NVIDIA GeForce 6 series 6200 card with 128MB DDR2 in a AGP4X slot - system reguirements, AGP8X or AGP4X compliant motherboards. My Outlook is the Danish version, also updated. The Find Bar is right above the main panel with the labels "Søg efter", "Søg i" and "Søg nu" as seen on the first screen shot. The shadows can be removed by doing a screen refresh. The shadows do not appear if the Find Bar is made inactive/removed before quiting Outlook. Someone else had the same problem some 3 1/2 years ago: <http://www.eggheadcafe.com/forumarchives/outlookinstallation/Oct2005/p ost23939039.asp> Short link: http://tinyurl.com/brpc7o No solution then :-( Any ideas why this happens? issues like this are usually the result of the video driver.
