Please help! MS Exchange Server is sending personal info!

I have all my personal banking, credit card numbers, passwords,
drivers license #, ect, on in my contacts. And some sensitive info in
notes. My company just changed to an inhouse server and is using ms
exchange and it copied my contacts folder to the server, which can
certainly be viewed by anybody in the office. And I run the risk of
all this going everywhere. I went on the internet site and deleted
everything I could, but now I can never go into outlook while being
connected to the internet. Please help! What is the best solution?

Thanks,

Wendy

Mark your contact properties in the permissions tab to no one.

I'm sorry. I should have told you I'm a remote user and have Office
Suiite 2007. Thanks for the help. However, when I go to change
permissions I receive a message saying that "Some permissions cannot
be displayed. Permission information for this folder cannot be
accessed."  I then get the contact properties screen, permissions tab
with everything grayed out.

Any ideas?

Contact your IT department. Ask them to delete it for you.

No offense but that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

I deleted it, but I can not use Outlook while online because it will
send my contact info. Why do they need my contact info? It's an email
server. Just Email.

I've used Outlook for many years. Never been on network. Never a
problem.

I have decided to just find another contact management software and
put all my stuff in it and delete it all out of the now useless
Outlook.

You shouldn't use contacts for this type of information - use Notes instead.
They typically aren't shared with other users, but if they are, you can
create a secondary Notes folder for the private notes.  This would also work
for your contacts.

Marking the contacts private is another solution but you need to do that
within Outlook, not Web Access.
