Import other than standard pst file into Outlook ExpressHello,
I am trying to import Outlook mails into Outlook Express. So far I was able to import the standard pst file, but I have an additonal archive pst file which is not imported. After choosing the import command in Outlook Express I am aksed to choose the account from which I want to import. After that I can choose the folders that I want to import, but only the folders from the standard pst file are shown. There is no option to get to the archive.pst file. Will I have to exchange the names of the pst files, or are there any other ways to import the archive file. Best regards, Christian k-r***@t-online.de wrote:

import into OE, in which case you need to set the archive folder as the default in outlook. -- Show quoteHide quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. <k-r***@t-online.de> wrote in message news:53045ac5-5335-4e5a-beeb-f9ba61bd8cee@l16g2000yqo.googlegroups.com... > On Feb 28, 10:38 pm, Gordon <gbpli***@gmail.com> wrote: >> k-r***@t-online.de wrote: >> > Hello, >> >> > I am trying to import Outlook mails into Outlook Express. Select the archive folder and set it as default.
If its not listed, you need to add it. I would recommend disabling autosend/receive before doing this or setting outlook offline. You don't want new mail going into this folder. -- Show quoteHide quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
