deploy Outlook signature templates-Outlook 2007In our OL 2003 environment, were able to put a set of read-only email
signature templates into C:\Program Files\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures and users were able to open, update to personalize and then save as their own named signature template. Have tried similar thing with OL 2007 (still on XP Pro, still in same location) and the templates are visible (I.e., show up as selections when I click the "Signature" drop-down from within a new mail message) but they won't actually insert the signature block into the message AND I can't seem to find a way to open/edit/save these within OL. Are you attempting to Insert on an HTML message? Try it on a Rick Text or
Plain Text email, and see if it works. None appear to work.
Would appear that only way to get a signature setup is to create one anew. Does it work if they are read-write?
Can you select them in the signature dialog and edit them? Outlook 2007 only has a simple editor - make the changes in the Edit signature panel at the bottom of the signatures dialog. (I keep signatures on a network drive and copy them to the sig folder and they work just fine.) -- Show quoteHide quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
