Can anyone tell me what the checkbox at the bottom of the Distribution List
window is for?

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

It marks it as not visible to anyone who may be sharing your calendar or
scheduling you for a meeting. It shows as "Private" rather than the actual
event/appointment.

Doesn't it mark the DL as private so that anyone sharing your mailbox can't
see that particular DL in the Contacts list?
