you cannot remove and re-add the Outlook Address Book service. If you're back in Tools | Account Settings... | Address Books, do you see anything else listed there, such as Mobile Address Book? If so, remove it. When you view the folder list in Outlook, are you seeing any other Contacts folders? In Tools | Address Book, what exactly are the entries listed in the drop-down box under Address Book? A complete straw-grasp here, but just for giggles, try closing Outlook, select Start | Run, enter outlook.exe /resetfolders (note the space before the "/"), and select OK -- Show quoteHide quote-Patrick Reed "NGReader" <Cal@offfgeigorg> wrote in message news:u7yqnN2SJHA.5080@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Bummer, contacts is still checked and greyed out. > Where do you remove/reinstall this service > > Thanks for sticking with this > > > "Patrick Reed" <PatrickReed@stay_in_the_group.please> wrote in message > news:%23CBAZF2SJHA.1560@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >> OK, give this a try >> >> Back into Tools | Account Settings... | Address Books >> >> Select Outlook Address Book and then select Change... >> >> Select that Contacts folder and Remove it >> >> Select Close | Close.
