Outlook 2007 suddenly begins freezing whenever launchedinstall, not an upgrade. I have 1 exchange account, 1 POP account, 1 GMail IMAP account, and several RSS Feeds. I recently changed my Gmail from POP to IMAP but I have been using it for about a week or two with no problems. This morning= when I launched Outlook, Outlook opened and showed my Inbox but then my mouse cursor disappeared and outlook stopped responding. Moving the mouse off of the outlook window made it visible again but outlook still doesn't respond to mouse or keyboard. The only way to close outlook is with the taks manager, but re- launching outlook causes the same problem immediatly. Rebooting doesn't help. Unplugging the network cable and launching outlook (no wireless either) doesn't help. Outlook worked fine last night, but this morning it is trashed. I did create a new profile using the control panel Mail option. I tried to point it at my hotmail account but I couldn't get the settings right but Outlook launched anyway under the new profile and seemed ok even though it couldn't connect and download email. Switching back to the first profile caused the problem to come back. I shouldn't have any plug-ins except something from the virus scanner NOD32. I have had this for quite a while and it has never caused this problem. I disabled that through the NOD32 control panel and it didn't help. If there are other plug-ins, I can't find them. I am at a loss. I could delete all my accounts and start over, but I do not want to do that as it would be a LOT of work and I don't want to loose anything. Does it work in safe mode?
Make a new profile and add one acct at a time and verify it works. -- Show quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM <TZMo***@gmail.com> wrote in message news:ca4e935b-265e-4e6c-8cba-9f94b32354a7@e4g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... > I have Outlook 2007 installed on Vista Ultimate.
