prevent mapi accounts from pollingIn Outlook 2007, I integrated my hotmail account by Outlook Connector.
In Tools - Options - Mail setup - Send/receive , it is not in the group of accounts that is scheduled for automatic poll. But each time when I open Outlook, hotmail is automatically polled. How can I prevent that? Salut, Aristide is hotmail set as the default acct / message store or are you using a pst
too? if it's the default, I think you have to set it offline in File menu before closing outlook (or set outlook to not poll on open using the /nopoll switch, then set it offline after opening) - as opening a folder in the hotmail folder set initiates a poll. -- Show quoteDiane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: dailytips-subscribe-requ***@lists.outlooktips.net Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQU***@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM "Aristide de la Tanne" <aristide1***@yahoo.fr> wrote in message news:49b444c7-eb93-4d9d-b429-ab6236d06ad4@w34g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... > In Outlook 2007, I integrated my hotmail account by Outlook Connector. > In Tools - Options - Mail setup - Send/receive , it is not in the > group of accounts that is scheduled for automatic poll. account. The folders for my hotmail account remain closed until I check it in the afternoon. The /nopoll switch would do what I want. But in 2007 is seems abolished http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP012185891033.aspx Still not sure, what to do.
