Outlook ConnectorWhile setting up Outlook 2003, I inadvertently misspelled my Hotmail email
AD, now it is grayed out in the Outlook Connector, and will not let me continue any further. Q. How do I edit or correct the misspelled email AD? On Nov 22, 1:35 pm, CAT <C***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote:

After each un/reinstall, I open OL and the OLC pops up asking for username/password, with the incorrect username(email AD) already grayed out. These un/reinstalls won't work because there is a file somewhere that does not get removed through the un/reinstall process....It's kinda like the profiles in Firefox, that don't get removed when the main program is uninstalled. Then you need to create a new mail profile - Control Panel->Mail Icon.

Actually I just edited the incorrect email AD. After the un/reinstall's didn't resolve my problem, I knew there had to be something like a profile hidden in another location (like in Firefox) that wasn't removed by the uninstaller. Once thanks to all.....Especially, Milly You're welcome - glad it worked and thanks for posting back.

You could also search the registry for that e-mail address spectre that you see listed in the disabled portion of the username/password prompt dialog window. |
