rules will not work i trouble shot and still nothing. I just want message
from a contact to go in certan folder. please help.

outlook 2003, not any rules i set will work. example: From contact put in
specific folder

message moved to added under the Inbox, or under Personal Folders? If they
are under Personal Folders, move them under the Inbox.

Story kept short for sake of brevity. Set up folders for different subjects
under Personal Folders except for two. Rules didn't work except for those I
set up for the two under Inbox. Started testing a non-working rule with
fiancé. Did not work until I moved the folder pertaining to that rule under
the Inbox. Moved all the rest of the folders, and now ALL of my rules are
working.

Have no idea why, but it works. You would think it work no matter where they
are.  Worth a shot to try it. HTH
