E-mail accounts setupHi,
I am new to Outllok. I use Outlook 2007 in both my desktop and my laptop. When I have to travel I copy the PST file to my laptop and viceversa. However, the e-mail account settings are not synchronized and some passwords lost , so I need to reconfigure all the accounts every time (4). Is there any solution for this or am I am missing something ? Thank you Bangali The rules & accounts are saved by the Office Save My Settings wizard.

that doesn't deal with WinXP -> WinXP migrations. Very odd removal. Show quote "Brian Tillman" <tillman1***@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:%23jCKv4jkHHA.3996@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > > However, Office 2007 doesn't have that wizard. Vince Averello [MVP-Outlook] <vi***@omegageek.com> wrote:

Setting them up in your mail profile once should be all that's needed. Then, after that, as long as you migrate your data correctly, your account data will never change. Describe the exact process you're using to transfer the PST between systems. Perhaps you're doing something incorrectly. Also review this: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/sync.htm -- Brian Tillman Brian,
Thanks a lot for your answer. I have migrated form Eudora that was much more easier to synch. You must be copying more than the PST, then, because account information is > kept in the registry. I have my PST file in DiSK E and Outlook in the default directory in> Setting them up in your mail profile once should be all that's needed. > Then, after that, as long as you migrate your data correctly, your account > data will never change. This setting is the same in both computers so I can backup and move without any problem other data files,. So what I do is to synchronize DISK E. What this does is to rewrite mail.pst from Disk E >> DIsk E in both computers. I use Windows XP, not Vista. Should I change this scenario ? Thanks Bangali <bangali.doc***@gmail.com> wrote:

I did not know that. Do you recommend any application for doing the synch. I know you pointed to a link but there are too many to test... Thanks Bangali <bangali.doc***@gmail.com> wrote:
