of
$1.50 each " and expires in Feb 2007

Are you saying even if the final retail version of Office 2207 comes
out in early of 2007 we will still be able to use the beta until the
end of March?

So long as you have the technical refresh installed your beta is good until
the end of March as Sue has said. That should also mean that Microsoft
should have the final version available before the end of the 1st quarter.
In an ideal world Vista and Office 2007 will be released at the same time or
within days of each other. Of course Microsoft will only release Vista +
Office 2007 when they're 'ready' and not before.

MSFT *is releasing Vista and Office 12 way before they are ready and will
Escrow them both and RTM them both within the next couple weeks, and they
will release them both together to enterprise and public at their respective
times for each.

The concept of "when it's ready" went out the window shortly after Allchin
announced the first delay and quickly morphed into the energy of marketing.
The upgrade advisor is a crude marketing tool for more OEM preinstalled
boxes.  It has nothing whatsoever to do with reality if you've been testing
Vista many builds on a lot of different machines.  It puts out false
information that is not accurate all the time.

Startup repair is one of many features that doesn't work a high percentage
of times--and isn't ready and isn't going to get any better.

Ck out these for aids in the new Office UI thanks to Ed Bott's blog for
calling attention to them

In Outlook: Help, About will show you the build number (starting with
12.0.). If you have 12.0.4107, it's B2, if you have 12.0.4407 it's B2TR.
