Rename the default outlook folder name or change to other folder
ggevaert -
22 Nov 2006 3:44 PM - 3 messages
Hi,
Anyone know how I can change which calendar folder outlook thinks of
as the default? Either by renaming the current default or making
another of my contacts folders the default.
I hunted throughout the registry but cannot find where outlook
defines who/what its default folders are.
The reason for this is that I have a problem whereby my outlook 2003
default Contacts folder was renamed to Spryte (don't ask) in the
distant past. Until now that has not been a problem but our new
customer management software interacts with outlook through an
interface that first determines what the default folder is and then
connectes to it - unfortunately it crashes if it doesn't find the
default to be "contacts" (I tried creating one with that name and that
does not work either).
Therefore, I'm looking for a way to tell outlook that the 'default'
contacts folder is not Spryte but 'Contacts'.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Gary
Ps. I tried doing a search for the word 'default' in this forum but it
keeps coming back with a server timed out error.
